The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed on a negative note, occasioned by 1.18% drop in the share price of Dangote Cement.The All Share Index declined by 0.21% to close at 42,270.23 points from the previous close of 42,357.36 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.20% to close at N22.057 trillion from the previous close of N22.102 trillion, thereby shedding N45 billion.The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalised stocks, amongst which are, GTCO, Vitafoam Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries, Dangote Sugar Refinery and Africa Prudential.
